After a long and thorough examination of its potential and purpose the IntaApp is finally taking shape! Now in the sketch phase, this cross-platform mobile application will be available to our clients for free. Providing them with easy and secure access to the latest progress reports and proofs of their projects. A study of form and function has provided us with the roadmap. And a big thank you to Charles Goodyear . . . inventor of the eraser!

As we strive to learn and apply effective green practices we've managed to find some very helpful resources, particularly our friends at VoxVerde. These folks put the capital G in green design and they have really opened our eyes to real world sustainability practices and benchmarks. We turn to them for most of our information regarding green certifications, paper choices, and more.

As an Atlanta based studio located in the heart of the the city, we have a real appreciation for any new beautification projects, not the least of which is the Atlanta Beltline. Spanning 22 historic rail line miles, it weaves thru and connects a wide variety of neighborhoods, making for a great way to bike and walk around a city most notable for its traffic. It is has also become a source of creative inspiration, including various installation projects, performance art, as well as, dynamic views of the city seldom scene. It is in this spirit (and it's close proximity!) that we have begun working on a Beltline photo book, which will serve as an artistic outlet, as well as, an in-house study of immersive publications for the ipad.

Although initially used for tracking parts in vehicle manufacturing, QR Codes are now used in a much broader context, including both commercial tracking applications and convenience-oriented applications aimed at mobile phone users (known as mobile tagging). QR Codes storing addresses and URLs may appear in magazines, on signs, buses, business cards, or on just about any object that users might need information about. Users with a camera phone equipped with the correct reader application can scan the image of the QR Code to display text, contact information, connect to a wireless network, or open a web page in the phone's browser. This act of linking from physical world objects is known as a hardlink or physical world hyperlinks. Just one more way to stay in touch with your audience!

There are two things that we really enjoy: creative collaboration and magazine design, both of which came into play in the recent redesign of Focus Magazine. Partnering with our friends at DigitalShake to design the April issue of the new Focus Magazine published monthly by the Housing Authority of Dekalb County.
